Climate change is severely affecting many parts of the society, and physical infrastructure is no exemption. Longer flooding and drought periods, stronger flush floods and heavier erosions are some of the obvious signs of climate change that have a negative impact on infrastructure such as roads, rail, structures etc. Developing countries with its limited resources are very vulnerable to climate change. Subsequently, without proper mitigation measures, climate change is likely to make poor regions poorer. The Asian Development Bank, the African Development Bank and the World Bank are financially supporting developing countries to increase their adaptation ability to climate change.
