The Bridge is open to visit!

The Bridge is open to visit!

For six years, Treeline has been supervising the Water and Land division in the New #Slussen Project. The main bridge was inaugurated on Sunday the 25th of october by the #King and the #Crown princess. It is a milestone in the project and means the start of the second phase. The opening of the bridge is also the starting point for the demolition and excavation of the old western Slussbron and Södermalmstorg. For Treeline, this means that we are now focusing on the last two years of the design process. Documentation for Slussen canal and Katarina Västra, as well as tender documents for pedestrian- and cycle lanes are on the way. Today, the 26th of October at 5 am, the bridge opened to the public. Have you tried it yet?

It is always great to see the outcome!

At Tvärbanan Kistagren, we strive to make public transportation a pleasant experience through innovative and creative solutions. Here is one of our examples which we developed for Bromma Tram Station. Using the graphic concrete technology, we created our very own pattern to be placed on the ground of the tram station at Bromma Airport. The design is inspired by Stockholm’s and Bromma’s unique physical identity and an abstract illustration of an area around Bällstaviken. We are expecting the traffic to operate later this autumn and the station will be open to the public. Until then you can get more information about Tvärbanan Kistagrenen here:

Strategic architecture services for Trafikverket

Treeline can proudly announce that we have been selected as consultants for the Swedish Transport Administration's strategic architecture services. We formed teams with our friends at ON Architects and during the cooperative work many good ideas were raised about how architecture and infrastructure can and should be coordinated. We look forward to developing these ideas in upcoming assignments!

Landscape architects from Treeline och architects from &Rundquist have been project managing the design of Kistagrenen light rail in collaboration since 2015. Client is Region Stockholm. During the site visit we examined the molded retaining walls with diamond shaped patterns. The pattern matrix will be applied on retaining walls all through the stretch of the light rail.
