Treeline and ON Arkitekter have gained the Swedish Transport Administration's confidence to evaluate the competition procedure behind the road and rail bridge design competition in Oxberg. Our client at the Swedish Transport Administration is chief architect Johan Folkesson. The evaluation will form the basis for the development of a new process description for future design competitions conducted by the Swedish Transport Administration.
A long-awaited dream project is finally started: Program document for Uppsala tramway. Together with our partners Systra, White Arkitekter, &Rundquist and Lindahl Project Management, the work on the program is now in full swing. The assignment is carried out in close cooperation with Region Uppsala and Uppsala Municipality. During the spring, we will investigate and immerse ourselves in what is required to integrate the tramway in Uppsala, including line routing, stop locations, technology and depot. In our strong team, Treeline contributes with experience from other rail projects, such as The Kistagrenen CrossRail, Tramway City and Tramway South, where we have often worked in the border between technology, architecture and the municipal planning process. Another new colleague! Now David Holm is part of our team and already rocking! David has a master's degree in water construction and geotechnics with extensive experience from both consulting and contracting. David most recently came from Implenia and Getingmidjan, where he worked with questions regarding contracts, supporting both customers and contractors. And as always with Treeline: David is incredibly competent and also very pleasant to have on board!
Having a profound grasp on geotechnical conditions are essential in all construction projects. We feel even more confident with another experienced Geotechnician aboard: Henrik Blomquist! Henrik comes from Sigma and has extensive experience as a project manager. With good humour and lots of energy is Henry already in full swing.
We welcome Christian Wintenby to Treeline! Christian will reinforce our competence in planning and can assist both private and public partners in the planning process. Christian has extensive knowledge in the municipal planning process from the perspective of both an insider and a collaborator. Besides, he is a superb mice colleague to have!
For six years, Treeline has been supervising the Water and Land division in the New #Slussen Project. The main bridge was inaugurated on Sunday the 25th of october by the #King and the #Crown princess. It is a milestone in the project and means the start of the second phase. The opening of the bridge is also the starting point for the demolition and excavation of the old western Slussbron and Södermalmstorg. For Treeline, this means that we are now focusing on the last two years of the design process. Documentation for Slussen canal and Katarina Västra, as well as tender documents for pedestrian- and cycle lanes are on the way. Today, the 26th of October at 5 am, the bridge opened to the public. Have you tried it yet?
At Tvärbanan Kistagren, we strive to make public transportation a pleasant experience through innovative and creative solutions. Here is one of our examples which we developed for Bromma Tram Station. Using the graphic concrete technology, we created our very own pattern to be placed on the ground of the tram station at Bromma Airport. The design is inspired by Stockholm’s and Bromma’s unique physical identity and an abstract illustration of an area around Bällstaviken. We are expecting the traffic to operate later this autumn and the station will be open to the public. Until then you can get more information about Tvärbanan Kistagrenen here:
Here are some of our colleagues during the site visit to the construction site of one of the largest logistic centres in the entire Scandinavia: Axfood Logistic Centre I Bålsta.
